Operating Systems & Environment

• I use Debian 12 as my daily driver OS.
• I use i3wm to organize my windows.
• I use OpenBSD as OS of choice for my Server (VPS).
• I use Vultr for hosting the VPS and
• I use Hostpoint for administering my domains.
• I use TrueNAS Scale as OS on my NAS.

Development & Tools

• I use Hugo to generate this site from md-files.
• I use kitty as terminal emulator of choice.
• I use Neovim as text editor (code, markdown, latex, whatever).
• I use tmux for fast terminal navigation.
• I use bash because I couldn’t mind setting up zsh.
• I use VSCode when I don’t want to mess with nvim.
• I use LibreOffice for writing letters or looking at excel-tables.
• I use Reveal.js for making presentations (often also with nvim).
• I use Claude AI when I need some help from the overlord.

Privacy & Security

• I use Brave as my browser.
• I use KeePassXC as my password manager.
• I use Proton as my email provider since I am too dumb to host it myself.
• I use Syncthing to sync files and directories between devices.

Hardware

• I use an Intel NUC 13 Pro with an i5 1340p and 1TB of storage because it’s enough.
• I use an ASRock Desk Mini 310 (Mini-STX) with 4TB of storage (RAID 1) and an old Intel Pentium Gold G5400 CPU.
• I use an iPad Pro 13" for writing down stuff on PDFs.
• I use an iPhone 12, but will probably switch to a Google Pixel with Graphene OS when it breaks.
• I use a split ergonomic keyboard - a Lily 58 to be specific. Because it is just better.
• I use a Garmin Instinct Solar 2 to track the time and activities.
• I use a Kindle for reading stuff on the go. I really hope there will be an open-source E-Reader one day.
• I use the Verbatim Slimline UHD DVD/Bluray drive. It is libredrive compatible out of the box and I use it to rip movies and shows from physical media.

Media & Entertainment

• I use Jellyfin for streaming movies and shows in my LAN.
• I use MakeMKV for converting files from physical media to digital media (ripping).
• I use Handbrake for compressing videos in high quality.
• I use immich for photo and video storage management
• I use Reddit too often.

Aesthetics

• I use JetBrains Mono (duh).
• I use the Dracula theme wherever I can because it looks cool.
• I use a rotation of some fitting wallpapers.
